Book an AppointmentThe Monza returns in its boldest form yet: a 42 mm case machined from ultra-light carbon, with a black DLC steel crown and pushers and a black PVD titanium case back. The skeletonised, fine-brushed black dial opens onto the movement beneath, framed by translucent blue fumé sapphire counters, blue luminous indexes and flashes of racing red on the counter hands and date frame.
Inside beats the in-house Calibre Heuer 02 Flyback, a COSC-certified chronometer. The flyback function resets the chronograph without stopping it, built for faster timing at the wheel. The black flange carries both a tachymeter for average speed and a pulsometer calibrated for 15 heartbeats, and the blue luminescent date window at 9 o'clock is a first for TAG Heuer.
The Monza was born in 1976, created by Jack Heuer to celebrate Niki Lauda's 1975 Formula 1 World Championship with Ferrari, and named for the fastest circuit in the sport. One of the first black-coated watches of its era, it has been reissued only rarely since, making this carbon edition a true collector's piece.
