TAG Heuer Monaco
The Monaco
Launched in 1969, the Monaco was the first square, water-resistant chronograph, powered by the Calibre 11, the first commercially available automatic chronograph movement. Its crown sits on the left, a reminder that the watch never needed daily winding, and its radical design found its first fans among creatives like Stanley Kubrick and Steve McQueen, who wore it in the 1971 film Le Mans.
The 2026 generation returns to the original reference 1133: a 39 mm grade 5 titanium case with sharper angles, a near-square sapphire crystal and the new in-house Calibre TH20-11, named in honour of the original movement.
