The House of Frederique Constant
Founded in Geneva in 1988 by Peter and Aletta Stas, Frederique Constant set out to make fine Swiss watchmaking accessible. The house designs, produces and assembles its watches in its own Geneva manufacture, and since 2004 has developed more than 30 in-house manufacture calibres.
Classical proportions define the collections, from the Classics and Slimline to the sportier Highlife and the Classic Worldtimer Manufacture, which tracks all 24 time zones from a single crown.

Your Questions, Answered
Which Frederique Constant collection is right for me?
The Classics is the natural first step: refined dress watches at the most accessible point in Swiss watchmaking. The Highlife is the one watch for everywhere, an integrated bracelet with a tool free interchangeable strap system. The Manufacture collection carries the in-house complications, from moonphases to a perpetual calendar.
What does Manufacture mean on a Frederique Constant?
It means the movement was conceived, developed and assembled in the house's own Geneva manufacture, visible through the exhibition caseback. Frederique Constant has built more than 30 in-house calibres since 2004, including a perpetual calendar that needs no correction until the year 2100, at prices well below comparable Swiss manufactures.
What makes Frederique Constant watches a good choice for business professionals?
Frederique Constant was founded on the mission of making Swiss luxury accessible. The Business Timer collection specifically targets professionals with practical complications, such as dual time zones, housed in refined, boardroom-appropriate cases. The brand offers genuine Swiss manufacture quality at a more accessible price point than many comparable luxury houses.
Can I try the watch on before I decide?
Yes, and you should. A watch reads differently in the metal: the weight in your hand, how the bracelet drapes, how the dial catches the light. A private appointment at our Sandton, Cape Town or Durban boutiques lets you wear it, set it against other pieces on your own wrist, and take your time with a specialist. No obligation, no hurry.
Is Picot & Moss an authorised Frederique Constant dealer?
Yes. Picot & Moss is an official authorised retailer and service centre for Frederique Constant in South Africa. Every watch purchased through Picot & Moss is covered by the brand's international warranty and backed by in-house horological servicing in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Does Picot & Moss service Frederique Constant watches?
Yes. Picot & Moss is South Africa's official authorised service centre for Frederique Constant. Servicing is performed using genuine manufacturer parts by certified watchmakers, ensuring your warranty remains valid and your timepiece is maintained to factory standards.
