TAG Heuer Carrera

Jack Heuer created the Carrera in 1963, naming it for the Carrera Panamericana, the Mexican road race whose stories of bravery he heard from the parents of racing drivers Pedro and Ricardo Rodriguez. Its clean dial, peaked lugs and uncompromising legibility set design codes that still define the collection.

Gold Carreras became gifts for winning drivers and tokens of good luck, a tradition remembered today in the Victory Wreath engraved on modern references. The 2023 glassbox generation marked the collection's 60th anniversary, and the line now runs from 36 mm classics to skeletonised chronographs and haute horlogerie split-seconds pieces.
