The attractive outcome showcases a flawless combination of elegance and subtlety: much like a little black dress, the watch effortlessly complements any outfit and situation. Black takes centre stage in three key elements of the watch. Firstly, the dial is adorned with gold markings against an intense black lacquer background. Secondly, the glossy sheen of the varnished calfskin strap mirrors the texture of the dial. The strap can be easily swapped, allowing for endless possibilities of transformation. Responsible materials
Chopard, in its pursuit of Sustainable Luxury, has made a deliberate decision to showcase the graceful movement of dancing diamonds by creating the case of the Happy Sport watch using its exclusive Lucent Steel™. This remarkable alloy, composed of at least 80% recycled material, possesses qualities akin to surgical steel, making it more luminous, durable, and comfortable to wear compared to conventional steel. Since 2023, Chopard has expanded the utilisation of Lucent Steel™ to include the manufacturing of all its steel timepieces.
Chopard’s workshops utilised ethical 18-carat rose gold for the crown and cabochons. As one of the few Manufactures with its own precious metals smelting workshop for many years, Chopard can oversee its value chain to provide creations that embody a more sustainable world.
